I love this photo, to begin with! Julie, you've turned it into something reminiscent of The Nightmare Before Christmas (one of my favorite movies!). :-)

Wonderful work, iacopo !

Something that will definilty become persistant in my memory !

Very well done !

BTW, for those whoi like Dali and photography at the same time, it would be intersting to know that Dali worked together with the photographer Philippe Halsman to create surrealistic photographs.

Like this one :

and many others that can be search on Google images with "philippe halsman dali"

Wonderful idea, iacopo.

And good execution.

There's only one thing that doesn't convince me completly, IMHO : the position of the spoon.

Not really its position in the whole picture but its position inside the "ice-cream" : given that position it is very likely that the spoon should reapper on the left !

Maybe having placed the spoon in the same position with a rotation towards the observer would have provided more realism to the shot.

However, a good one !

You blow me away iacopo! You've got such an imagination but know how to put that to paper (or mouse movements)!

For the ice cream one, I agree with Sergio. Have you thought about sitting it in one of the darker swirls? You may be able to make it look like the spoon made it.

And speaking of Sergio. I forgot to answer you.

Are you in your fractalic period, ferny ?

Mmm, there's something spooky in your big image : looks like a machine that is raising slowly from below.

Mmmm, let me guess, where have I already seen that scene ... maybe the tones were blue, like in the real world ....
I've opened the program once or twice. I need to sit down and look at it to see how it works. But you and iacopo have to promise to stop posting here so I can have some free time!
Yeah, I thought it looked like a UFO of sorts afterwards to.:O For the colours, all I did was turn the image into a negative. I love that blue though.

And thank you for letting me use the Colonel as an avatar.

happy you liked it. I had the ice cream idea in mind from the very first time I saw the lamp....at last I decided myself to shoot the spoon yesterday evening...I am quite lazy :-)

Thanks for the feedbacks they are very useful, will try!
