Hiya folk,

Another poor friend has been put through the mill!

I've done quite a lot of work here already, but am totally stuck with colour matching the figurewith her background.

She is holding a green patterned sari over her back, but I'd like it to look like the sun was shining through it from behind, particularly around her head where it is most transparent. I'd really love to get a better idea how to manages this (I've tried various things without success.)

I'm also concerned about the sharpness of the b'ground versus the softness of the figure - but maybe that won't matter when the colour is right.....

Anyway, anyone kind enough to have a go with it is welcome to do what ever they want.

abw, Canna

Hey!

I took a shot at it - or rather, two shots. Not sure it's what you're looking for, but here goes:

Julie,

Thank you so much for having a go! I certainly need some help.

.

Madmanden,

Wow, those are pretty amazing. The unsharpening of the clouds has really helped unify things, and the lighting is incredible...

Would you mind sharing how you did this work? It would be fantastically helpful to me....

Creeduck,

Thanks for the interest. I'm going to post the 2 originals now. No rush at all.

abw,

Canna.

Hi Canna.

It'skinda hard to explain what I did - because I cheated a bit. It's not done in Photoshop, butin the special effects / compositing suite called After Effects. I used a plug-in called Shine (http://www.trapcode.com/products_shine.html). Then I played around a bit with different settings and found a couple of looks I liked.

Regards,
Madmanden
