She's a cutie brian.

aladyforty - Thanks for having a go. I like what you've done with the sepia, and also the frames. Well done.

OK here's my try. I'm no expert by any means I have had to play with many of my own pics using Paint Shop Pro 9 to fix problems similar to yours. They aren't great but maybe could be called acceptable.

Basically I straightenedd the pic slightly.

Did the 1 step photo fix in PSP9

Used unsharpe mask to correct some of the blur.

Sellected the face and sharpenedd a little more.

Did a slight crop to clean up edges from my adjustments. lol

First pic also had ShielaSoft Porcelain script run at blue value of 3

Second I used vitual Photog effects plug-in 'disposable' followed by digital noise removal.

Third I used virtual photog effects plug-in 'mountain'

Hi Brenno,

I didn't have much success with the sharpening, so tried to pull in the background a bit instead. (If you can't beat them join them!)

canna.

I'm a 36-year-old woman who is permanently disabled with Narcolepsy (from being hit by a car traveling at 40MPH when I was 16) and I surviveon Social Security as my sole source of income (and I have a house payment to boot!).Therefore I just can't afford to purchase a program to fix digital photos. So, I was hoping you could help me out just this once with a picture my Mother took of me when I was in Maui last month. I don't get to travel or do much of anything that is truly fun anymore, so I really had hoped this photo of me in Maui would turn out and I could give it to my friends. I'm new to this program, and will attempt to upload the photo that is out of focus. Needless to say I can't simply have the photo retaken, though I wish I could be back in Maui right now, actually I could stay there forever. Thank you in advance for any help you may offer! My Dad just gave me his ancient Sony Digital Mavica MVC-FD81 camera and I'm trying to figure out how to use it. Again, I sincerely appreciate any help you can offer as this photo means a lot to me and I was heart broken when it turned out blury. I tried some of the programs you suggested, but I just don't know enough to do any good. I'm new at all of this! Bless you! Oops, I should have posted this in the main makeover section, so anyone who reads this will see it there too, sorry!

Here's my attempt using Focus Magic and a layers sharpening plug in.
