Good morning folk,

Below is a card I have done for some friends who are moving house. They are moving to the coast, and I'd really like to add a little beach and some sea over about half ofof the wall area. (It may be that I need to add canvas size at the bottom instead, to keep ther perspective right.)

I have thetools available on PSE2, plus I believe you can download stuff which might help (textures?) but it has to be good enough quality to print.

Suggestions would be welcomed.

With thanks, Caroline.

Quick question canna, do you want a painting of sand and sea on the wall or do you want it to look like there is reall a beach at this side of the wall?

Hi Creeduk,

Real beach would be nice, but given the artificiality of the pic, painted sea & sand might be absolutely fine.

Caroline.

I tried a few things and in my opinion beach with sand did not go. Also as there are many non-sandy beaches back in the UK I went with these options. I could not decide between a full wall or the partial wall in the stone, I have seen these on my travels and think it is a good look. I tried to sharpen the tree's back a bit as I assume you cleaned the sky around them. I also decided to put themwell smaller ones on the cliff for this layout. I wanted to keep a bit of both images so hence the hills and the tree's. Overall I think the post card concept came out OK. No: 1

Hi Creeduk,

That is absolutely fantastic! I think the first one looks best, with the rocks at the base of the wall. It's absolutely spot on. My friends will be delighted.

I will pm you re sending a messanger round for a print size version of your work:lol:.

Very nice job Creeduk. I have taken the liberty with your edit, and this is in no way a criticism of the great edit you have made, but......................I really don't think that wall would hold off the smallest crashing wave, so thought it may not necessarily look better, but would survive better this way. (Just a quick one).

You really ought to get your friends to sort out some extra insurance Caroline .

Steve.

If an English brickie did it then I have every faith in the wall.

My kids have run off with my laptop :sadour DVD player broke and they wanted to watch movies :-)) I kind of meant this effect originally, I could only do a partial as this PC is very low resource. I don;t think it works but this was the idea..lol
