Behold my second attempt at capturing lightning... My first attempt actually turned out better, but I find this picture kind of interesting. I like the fact that the full moon is in frame, but what do I know? I'm a complete novice at photography. If there is anything that could be done to improve this picture, I'd love to see it.

I dont think that much can be done with it. It seems completely out of focus and I dont see anyway to do anything with it.

Agree with Rob. Not too much can be done with this, but don't fret, you'll have plenty of opportunities to get it right. Lightening can be difficult to catch.

Tried various sharpening techniques, tried Focus Magic, tried closing my eyes and spinning round in my chair :?.Still didn't look much better .

So, as well as a little saturation of the sky and burning of the trees , just took a brush and painted the main 'strikes' in.

Anyway, try again sometime and I look forward to seeing some shots in the other forums.

I appreciate you taking a look and giving it a try. I honestly didn't think that anything could be done with it, but I've seen you guys do some pretty amazing stuff. Oh well, I guess that just gives me an excuse to go out and take more pictures!:-)We're known for lightning down here in Florida, so I should have plenty of opportunities. Again, thanks for the effort!
