Hi all

The original photo is terrible. I scanned it in order to fix it. Original scan is 600dpi. I reduced the file so i can be able to attach it here.

I can remove the noise by using Neat Image. However, i want to do it manually.

I can fix large areas such as hair, clothes, skin, etc. I am having problems with smaller areas, especially with face!

Can anyone help please?

thanks

A hard one to fix for sure, I used FFT (Fourier Transform) to reduce the pattern of the photo paper, from there it was selective noise reduction methods and then deal with the red, green, blue and cyan noise in the gown. Shrink the image a little and finally some selective blur. This was between 5 and 10 minutes to do so with some time and care you can improve on it. This as you probably know will never be a great image.

Oops !, slipped up there ... not an easy one. ... In PS used The Noise/Dust and scratches filter radius 2 Threshold 2 ... reduced size + an overall noise filtering
