Thanks (but I'm Jim, not Steve). ;-)
But, which digiKam version are you using (0.10.0, 1.0.0 Beta 4, etc.)?
I'm curious which versions of digiKam support tethered shooting (able to capture images from within digiKam).
I installed OpenSUSE 11.2 Milestone 7 to take a look at the latest progress with KDE 4.3.x.
But, it still had a few too many bugs with my hardware, so I didn't keep it on my PC long enough to play with it much. It looks like Milestone 8 is out now. I'll probably wait until it goes final before trying it again. That way, I'm not trying to upgrade KDE and associated applications using 11.1.
I've got a community remaster of SimplyMEPIS 8.0 installed right now using KDE 4.3 with digiKam 1.0.0 Beta 4 from Debian Testing.
But, it's still a bit "rough" (i.e., buggy) since it's using a mixture of Debian Stable and Debian Testing based applications. I haven't tried the remote capture features.
