I don't actually think much of the analysis you linked to.
  1. At 200mm and f/5.6, the center crop for the Tamron is sharper and has less CA.
  2. At 200mm and f/8.0, the center crop for the Tamron is sharper and has less CA.
  3. At 200mm and f/8.0, the edge crop for the Sigma is sharper and has less CA.
  4. At 55mm and f/4.0, the center crop for the Tamron is sharper.
  5. At 55mm and f/4.0, the edge crop for the Tamron is sharper and has less CA.
  6. At 55mm and f/8.0, the center crop for the Tamron is sharper.
  7. At 55mm and f/8.0, the edge crop for the Tamron is sharper and has less CA
Optically, I'd call the Tamron the better lens.
