........that is a good looking snapper and good size too.

A couple weeks back I spotted one at the pond in one of our city parks. I wasn't quick enough to 'snap' photos of it, partly because I just stood there watching it. The turtle is bigger than any I've seen of many. I plan to get some photos of it soon now that I know where it lives.

It is good you did not attempt patting this fellow, they can do damage. When I was a youngster I once got one to chomp down on a stick and I dragged that turtle 1/2 mile across a couple pastures all the way home, it never let go of the stick.
