Default Another moon

I was setup in the middle of the woods away from any city lights. With the clear skies and the full moon, I setup my tripod, E-620 and 70-300 (S-AF, Point Metering, 12s delay). Here's the best shot:

190mm, f8, 1:1 crop:

Funny thing is that I took a few more where I was at 202mm and the image isn't as crisp with the same f8 aperture setting @ 1:1 crop. For instance:

The difference is that the shutter speed on the first one is 1/160. The other is 1/250.

Now that I think about it, maybe I should have picked area metering. With spot metering, a crater would get a different exposure compared to a brighter part of the moon?
