On the two cruise ships I've been on (Pride of America and Pride of Aloha, formerly Norwegian Sky) the line handling equipment is not visible to the passengers. It is located on level below the weather deck. There are huge doors on both sides of the bow that can be opened while the lines are being handeled.

I really like this shot. The color, exposure, and composition are excellent. Having been in the US Navy for 9-1/2 years, I love to see photos of modern shipboard equipment.

And, yes, many circles present here. Two circles that I can't identify are in the middle of a blue object in the lower center of the picture. Do you know what those circles and the blue object are for?
