Great Grey Owls are from the Arctic and they hunt during the day time, so if you are where they are they are easy to spot.

In 2005 there was a shortage of food (Lemings) and the Greys came south opening up a great photo op, but during normal years they are extremely rare as far south as Wisconsin.

Other Owls normally hunt at night, but can be seen during the day if you are lucky.
