I have a set of Yashica GSN Electro 35 Auxiliary Telephoto & Wide Lenes and was wondering if they would work with the modern digital cameras (I have Panasonic FZ-10 /20 series in mind) with proper adaptors offcourse.

Tele: 1.3x 55mm screw-in mount 40 degrees angle of view

Wide: 0.8x 55mm screw-in mount 61 degrees angle of view

I have heard that it is nearly impossible to use them with any other camera/lens
tell me its not so

Well, if they have standard 55mm filter threads, you can use them on digitals that can use filters & lenses (as long as the lens doesn't extend beyond the thread).

Actually, you can probably use this on any camera including film...I've tried my converters on my SLR.

The question is of course the quality...some screw on lenses aren't compatible with certain cameras making the pictures soft, chromatic aberrations (purple fringing), or vignetting.

If you're getting the camera anyways, there's no harm in trying, and it won't cost you anything...well, maybe $0.0001 and a little time.
