I am looking for a new camera that would be able to add lenses and filters. Do any camera comparison websites list whether the camera has len threads? Or do I need to check the spec on each camera individually?

Actually I am assuming you have to have lens threads to add filters and/or wide angle lense. Is that correct? I have a Nikon 3700 that is getting bad vertical discoloration lines (entire top to bottom) whenever it encounters bright light (possibly only when the bright light is sharply contrasted by a dark object), but only in video mode. The 3700 does not have threads, so I was looking for a different camera. I am also assuming that a polarizing filter would have helped if this camera had threads to attach the filter with. Is that correct?
