Will the SCHNEIDER-KREUZNACH XENAR 0.7x fit the Panasonic FZ5? If so, will I need to purchase an adaptor or will it fit? If so, is the Schneider a better lens than the Raynox HD6600 which does fit the FZ5? Any other recommendations? Thanks all!

Yes it will fit, but the lens is 55mm, and will require an adapter to fit. It works very well on my FZ20. I also have a Raynox MDR 079PRO which is 52mm, and find very little difference.
The Raynox RT5264 adapter for the Panasonic camera works well with both of these (with a 52/55 adapter for the SCHNEIDER-KREUZNACH). The Raynox website: http://www.raynox.co.jp should give you some insight into lenses and adapters. |

My response was a little premature. The adapter you need is a RA 6252, not the same as the FZ20. The lens should work however.

Go with Olympus W08 (for E10/20). You will need a 55-62 step UP ring.
Awesome lens! |

Not for the FZ5 he won't. All he needs is the lens. The FZ5 has 55mm threads on the filter adapter and it works just fine with the Schneider lens. Very good match and quality.
