Is there any issue with using just the center of the glass on a WA adapter?

After hours of poking around the Web, I found test and comparison shots of the Raynox DCR-720 against others, all of which showedthe 720to be superior in crispness corner to corner, so I ordered one. It helps that it doesn't have a high factor, only 0.7x ... still, too bad Raynox has discontinued the product - the replacement DCR-730 photos seem less sharp, w/ more chromatic aberration...

However, I'll be using only the center with my Kodak DX7630, with its 37mm adapter tube. The Raynox has a 52mm mount.

Will I be facing any issues with this (somewhat kudged) arrangement?
