Add on lenses for Canon A40
I'm going on an 8 month trip.
Tomorrow I should be receiving my Canon A40. Though I know little about photography, (digital or otherwise) I feel the A40 will give me a chance to experiment. As I'll be in AUstralia, is it worth picking up the telephoto or wide angle lenses? Which would be more valuable? I wish I could get the waterproof housing but it's almost as expensive as the camera. Does anyone have experience with any of the accessory lenses or waterproof casing? |
Tele-Converter
I bought tele-converter lens to my powershot A40 about a month ago.. No problem have I had.. It's quite expensive, but it's very practical. A good point is that it's easy and fast to take off.. If you have money, buy it.

I just got the A40 and bought their adapter which takes a 52mm add-on for US$20. Then quickly looked for a 52mm teleconverter.
Found this: Raynox DCR-1850PRO 1.85X PRO-Telephoto Conversion Lens for about $110, there might be others. Of course you can add filters, polarizers etc 52mm |
