I use a uv filter and a polarizer with the 62mm permaraal adapter.
http://www.b-300.com/fz10ac.html I leave it on the camera at all times. I find it makes the camera easier to hold onto and it keeps the lens and all the moving parts clean. There are other adapters. One is made by Yashida and another is made by Raynox, but I have no experience with either. Hope this helps, Bryan |

SPOKE TO PETE AT PERMEAAL. HE HAS NEW PRODUCTS COMING NEXT MONTH.
A 55MM ADAPTER . THIS MEAN YOU WON'T NEEED TO USE ANY RINGS TO GET DOWN FROM 63MM TO 55. I'M WAITING TO GET THAT. IT'S GOOD EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE TALKING TO PETE OF PERMEAAL. NICE TO BE TOLD : "WAIT ONE MONTH & YOU CAN HAVE THE LESS EXPENSIVE MORE STEAMLINED SOLUTION" LOU LEDDA |

I also just got a Raynox DCR 2020Pro for my Panazonic FZ10. I get vignetting up to 8x, but none between 8X and 12X on my zoom lens. This gives me the 35mm equiv of 610-920mm [the regular lens is 35-420mm equiv]. This is fine with me. It would be nice if there were no vignetting, but I can accept this.
The Image stabilization on the camera seems to work OK at shutter speeds of 1/160 and faster so I will need a fairly bright day to get good results. So far the photos look pretty clear unless I digitally zoom in when looking at them on my monitor. Will need practice holding the camera steady with a smaller aperture and slower shutter speeds. In general I like this lens. |

I bought my DCR 2020 pro from DIGITAL DISTRIBUTORS INC for $211.95 including shipping. It arrived pretty quickly. You also need an adapter to get it to fit on an FZ10. Panasonic makes a RT5264P adapter that goes from a 64mm female to a 52mm- I got this form Don Parsons . The 2020 comes with a 52 to 62mm adapter so it fits. Premaal [sp?] makes an adapter that is 64mm female to 62mm and so does Yoshida. This might be better, but I have not seen them.
All my stuff was ordered through the Internet. |
