If you have a Leica Digilux Zoom (or, I think, a Fuji Finepix 1700MX) here's a cheap way to increase its macro magnification.
I found a child's toy telescope ($2 Canadian) at a science shop - (attached picture, top left). Then I cut the end holding the objective lens off - (attached picture, top middle). As luck would have it, the end holding the objective lens was an exquisitely perfect fit over the camera's lens - (attached picture, top right). It works! See the bottom part of the picture showing Salal stems and flowers. The picture's been reduced in size. |
