I can get Fuji's own TL-FX9 telephone lens (1.5 X) for $120, an Opteka 3.2X lens (that confusingly says both that's it's for the Fuji FX9 and that it can be added to existing lens) for $85 and a Tokina 3X for $66 that also claims it will fit.
While I tend to trust Fuji for quality, their lens is more than a third the price of a new S5200 and something like a quarter of the price of the new Panasonic FZ7. Obviously, the Opteka makes me much more comfortable staying with my dated S5000 and the Tokina convinces me to stay put -- all of course presuming there are no significant trade-offs in image quality.
Appreciate your help and experience.
