Default Anyone Tested/owned Raynox Lenses?

Me again,

I'm now looking at the Raynox 1850Pro 1.85X Telephoto Lens. Specs look good, but I want to know how well it really works! Have any of you used Raynox Lenses? What are your thoughts on these lenses?

Here's the Specs:
The DCR-1850PRO converts the C-4040Zoom/C-3040Zoom lens to 194mm (35mm film equiv.) focal length when attached at the most telephoto position.
Magnification : Nominal1.85X Actual1.85X/Diagonal, 1.85X/Horizontal
Lens construction : 3G/3E Optical coated glass elements Mounting threads : 52mm
Front filter size : None
Size/Weight : 85 x 58mm/265g

I have an Olympus 3040Z

I bought the ocr-1830 telephoto and hd-6600 wide angle raynox lenses for my 2100uz. The 6600 is excellent, the1830 I sent back (It didn't focus properly). I believe the quality is there, the telephoto just wasn't a good match for my camera. I am very happy with the wide angle.

Default Raynox lens 1850 1.85X with Sony F707

I there. Been there, done that. returned it.
Not a good quality lens to go with the F707. A lot of chromatic aberration (blue around subjects specifically when subjects are in contrast.

Default Raynox Telephoto 1.85x

The insert that comes with the lens specifically mentions that blue aberration can occur with the Sony 707 if the aperture is faster than F5.0

From my fairly limited experience of Raynox lenses, the quality just is not there. There tend to vignet and produce pincushion distortion.

That is my experience, anyway ! They do not compare to lenses such as an Olympus B300.
