I have a Sigma 105mm macro lens which doesn't autofocus any more with my canon EOS 300 35mm. The lens that came with the camera autofocuses fine (28-70mm) but not my precious macro lens. I know most macro shots aren't taken with autofocus anyway, but is there anything I can do to make this OK?

When I try and autofocus on a subject, the camera body motor whirrs away trying to change the focus of the lens, but the lens itself doesn't move.

oops, I see there's a forum called canon SLR lenses (or words to that effect) where I've posted this.
