I am new to digital photography and looking to purchase a wide angle lens for my Canon Powershot S3. I have found numerous lenses ranging in price from $40 to $400 by different manufacturers. Can someone recommend some quality lens that wont break the bank?
Thanks |

May want to post this question over in the Canon forum which is specifically for non dslrs.
Or indeed the addon lens section. |

The lens on your camera is fixed and cannot be changed.
The only option you have is the Canon wide angle converter (0.75x) which will give you an equivalent field of view of 27mm. The Canon part number is WC-DC58A Stuart |

I just received a Lensmate 52mm adapter and a Raynox 6600 pro for my S3. The lense is .77 resulting in a 23mm equivalent. I must say the image quality is excellent. There are many many lenses you can use with any Power Shot S series. Try lensmate.com for some examples. Good luck
