I've been reading up on macro/close-up lenses and filters for quite some time, trying to make a responsible purchase for my A720 IS. In the past, I've had great success with a B+W close-up +10 filter w/ my old PowerShot A75.

What would you choose, weighing quality and a decent price?

Adorama's brand 58mm 10x Macro Close Up Lens
Raynox DCR-250, Macro-Scan 2.5x Super Macro Conversion Lens
B + W NL10 58mm +10 Macro Lens, Close Up Glass Filter

Thanks in advance for any input.

I have an A-720 and have very good success digiscoping microscopic shots: see my spider posted under the digiscope section: http://forums.steves-digicams.com/fo....php?id=126981

My equipment consists of a simple 2 inch dia. metal tube attached to the 720 adapter. The tube contains an Orion Expanse eyepiece. A Plan (flat field) microscope objective is attached to the other end of the metal tube. The astro eyepiece is important for digiscoping. I have not been able to digiscope through a microscope eyepiece. It is not practical to try to add it to a microscope.

With the microscope objective removed the 2 inch tube fits the 2 inch focusers on two of my telescopes. See my moon shot: http://forums.steves-digicams.com/fo....php?id=124837
