I am looking to build some panoramic images for a real estate company, and the software I am using requires that I have spherical fisheye images. (2 or 3 per panoramic)
Can anyone recommend a decent priced lense, or maybe evena difference software package that is a little more friendly. TIA |

It's weird you'd use a fisheye...I thought the last thing you want is barrel distortion (curving of the picture) which fisheye is known for (unless the software takes advantage of it and corrects for it).
I suggest you head to http://www.panoguide.com and check out the info there. When it comes to fisheye lenses, "decent price" doesn't come into it. There's the Raynox DCR-FE180Pro which is a lens which gives you 180 degrees of view. At B&H Photo this lens sells for $270USD. You can see the lens (with samples on/off the Minolta 7HI (they don't have your specific camera, and this is what comes up when you ask for the A1) at: http://www.raynox.co.jp/english/digital/egdimage7hi.htm |
