Regarding add on lense sets available(Macro and 2x telephoto)
New owner of Sony DSC W7 needs to know about changing lenses on it. Is the original lense set messed with? Does the WA tube(adapter) fit over original Zoom lense set.. and.. is it a compounding magnification..ie if orig lense is 3x and I add a 2x add on lense.. is the result 6x? or amI all wet? Quality of photos using set of add on lenses degraded? Looking for info here.. Help guys Im so new it hurts. Dave |

I have the W-1 with all the add on lenses plus flash and filters. I expect to recieve my W-7 today and will try out all of the above. I do not expect any problem as these lenses are listed as accessories for the W-7
Shooting technique might have to be adjusted for the W-7. It is a lot to expect perfect hand held shots with telephoto lenses at the 7.1 resolution with every click of the shutter? When photographing small objects or animals I often reduce the camera's resolution. (On this Sony it is easy to do with a menu click.) If what you want is very large prints of small animals you will have to either get lucky or get a bigger camera. |
