Fuji s7000 help me with addon lenses pls

Hello i am new in this forum and coupole weeks ago i strated with digital dsl cameras first time and bought s7000.(before i got 2.1 hp-cheap , and olympus c5000) Okay i would like to know why we need tele photo lenses as i figure only for zooming ... but maybe not , so please explain to me ;-) Thanks.

All what i heard that Olympus TCON-17 is the best telephoto lens for s7000 with 1.7x.Is it true?How to feet it on the camera , do i have to buy special tubes?


Guys please dont feel bad about my newbie questions i started and will moving in to professional way ;-)
I am still good with picture taking but right now need to learn some photo mechanics part ;-)
