Any advice on make / performanceof wide angle lenses for DX7590 - apart from Kodak's own. Has anybody tried 'Focus Optic' make - also is there any difference between a 55mm and a 52mm lens fitting .. thanks:idea:

The 55mm fitting is to stop vignetting at the wide end.
When the lens first came out for the DX6490, I had one of the 52mm adapters and a step-up ring. From those first shots that I took, it was obvious that the sensor is a little off-center, with shading appearing on the right of the frame, but not on the left. The proper adapter only costs a tenner, get that and you can use a TCON-17 straight on the end as well. I like the wide lens, here's an example from my 6490. ![]() Paul. www.cold-snail.co.uk |
