Default Wide Angle Lens for -7i

Olympus WCON-0.7C Wide Conversion Lens
I believe the WCON-07C is the model for the Oly. C-5060. You will want to look at the WCON-07; it has the "standard" 55 mm threads. You will obviously need a step-up ring, 49 to 55 mm.

I have a WCON-07 and have found it to be an excellent add-on lens to my Olympus C-730. No vignetting at all at wide angel but then, that most likely is just my setup.

For a some interesting discussion on wide angle add-on lenses, take a look at Michael Miessner's comments. Index is at:

About half to two-thirds of the way down the index is a section on "tele-extender lenses and filters." You'll find some good general info buried down in there.

I bought my WCON-07 from Permaraal On-line -

I found them to be reasonably priced and very responsive to inquiries as well as letting me know when an item ships, along with a tracking number.

Hope this helps a little.

thanks for the replies, seem nobody here tried the Minolta DZ1 lens yet, Minolta ZWC-100. I want to buy the minolta one but I can't seem to find any retail store near my house that has them to test it on. I tested the Olympus one earlier today in a store with a step up adapter and results were really good. I'll wait a few more days to see if I can find the Minolta lens

thanks again

Are any of you using a UV or CP filter for this camera?
If so which one? I have a 7hi that needs at least a UV filter. I really want a circular polarizing filter, which neither distort.

Forget these Titanium lenses if you prefer to have high image quality. They are of low to very low quality. The 0.45X one causes a lot of chromatic aberration, vignetting near the corner, and very soft quality along the edges. Try this: http://raynox.co.jp/comparison/digit...m#dcr-fe180pro

Looks as though it might do okay for you; not at full wide, but still better than without the adapter.

I'm pretty happy with my DCR 660Pro from Raynox. Tho the periphery is a bit out of focus, the linearity is great.
