From what I've read I'm down to choosing between the Nikon TC-E2 and the Tiffen MegaPlus 2x.
Seems both weigh about the same. Obviously the Tiffen is less expensive. Am I correct in that I would need a special adapter ring to conform to the Nikon's threads (28mm) Advice? Thanks much! Mike [email protected] |

The Nikon TC-E2 is crystal clear and you won't get hardly any degredation of photo quality.
The Tiffen is nice, but makes the image a little fuzzier--but it's far cheaper than the Nikon. So, it boils down to how much you're willing to pay! Good luck ![]() |

Thanks! What model lens adapter do you need for the Nikon (w/A80) ?

As far as I know, the canon a80 only has 2 adaptors. A 52mm one and a 37mm. I've used both on my a80. Get the 37mm one. It does not block your flash and red eye assist light like the 52 mm does. I guess if you only shoot outdoors it might be ok. The 37mm has minor vigenting(spelling?) at regular lens extension but not at 2x or 3x optical extension.
