I have a C-4000 and am looking to purchase a couple of filters. What exactly will I need to accomodate these filters (step up ring, lens tube,etc...) and what are decent brands to buy?
I'm getting conflicting info and would appreciate any clarification. Thank you! |

From a C4040 owner...filter adapter is CLA-1. I leave it on all the time. Next buy a 43mm lens cap. If you do not intend to buy an Olympus accessory lens, I recommend the Tiffen lens adapter, 43mm version for Olympus Cxxx series. I have both. The Tiffen MegaPlus 2x teleconverter is a fabulous accessory lens, regardless of what you may read. I have a Cokin A holder, adapter ring, and a 2x grad. Also a Polarizer. Both take a little practice to use successfully. You have to use the LCD. No big deal, though.

Go to www.2filter.com. They can provide you with the tube, step up rings, filters (any size) and lens. You will call them at their 800 number listed on the page. They are very helpful.

It is hard to let go of the C3000Z. I plan on selling it when the C5050 is released. I have friend who is begging me to sell it to him. |
