Seems to me they ought to work fine together. Only 1.5x, of course, and there will undoubtably be some vignetting through the wide part of the zoom range.

The Olympus Compatibility Chart may offer you some guidance, but I didn't see the C-4000 listed.

Go to www.raynox.com. The Pro185 is a good telephoto lens that works well with my C4040. I ordered my ring and lens from www.2filter.com.
