Ok I have a MCON-35, and it has a nice little case. The trouble is I have a 55->62 step-up ring on it too, and now the back lens protector doesn't fit. Does anyone have any suggestions? Or should I just get a screw-on 55mm lens cap?

Thanks in advance

I think you answered your own question about protecting the "back end" of your MCON lens. It's not quite as easy as simply buying a screw-on 55mm lens cap as the thread is on the outside of your stepup ring, not inside as is the normal case that most lens caps use. That said however, a quick trip to your local camera store should yield you an inexpensive lens cap that will fit.

Yeah I kind of figured that was solution, good call on the threads though (I forgot that part!).

Might have to go with one of the screw-on filter caps with male/female ends, and use just one and the other stays at home.
