I seem to have misplaced my manual for my G2.
![]() Can some one let me know what the add on macro lens is - I have a 72mm 500D two element addon diopter. I know I'd need the extension tube from the base of lens to the add-on lens - what is the size of filter that connects to it. I'm wondering if I could use step up rings to in order to attach my close-up lens to my G2. |

Im not understanding your question. Can you rephrase?
The size of the end thread depends on what lens adapter you use. The one from http://www.lensmateonline.com/buy.html has a 49mm thread size and most people just reverse a 50mm f1.4 lens. The adapter from Canon has a 58mm thread, but its quite big which blocks the AF light, internal flash, and viewfinder. |

thanks,
I was going silly trying to find that info. If the Canon adapter ends up as a 58mm thread than it would use the 250D macro lens. I could use a reversed 50mm lens - I hadn't thought of that - though I'd have to get a step up ring. The lens I'd use is a 50mmf1.7 with 55mm threads. |

The 250D also comes in 52mm size.
