Interesting effect in the eyes, is that the jpeg encoding? I'm thinking it's especially noticable in the third from the right (uwb011103_0008.jpg.)
I like how the exif data shows the distance.... Eric |

What you're seeing in the eyes is commonly known as "red-eye". Light from the flash reflecting off the retina of the eye shows up as red. Sometimes, even after removing the red in post processing, the bright reflection often remains, giving a "glowing" appearance.

I edit for the red eye but it was not as effective as another program that I could have used. I should be ashame of myself for not editing better.

Phil, I wasn't being critical of your editing of redeye... I believe the one in question looks no worse that mine after removal of all red by inserting the complement of red (green). After I have done the best I can at neutralizing the redeye in my photos, some of the eyes still seem to shine with green or white. I know the best way to get rid of it is to move the flash off the camera, but I'd like to know if others out there have better post editing tools that quickly and easily remove the glare as well. Question: Does anyone know of a supplier for Raynox lenses in Canada?
Thanks in advance. |
