I have 2 different style of end caps. One type opens the apeture blades when it is twisted on, and the other doesn't.
Which way is preferable for storgage? |

I would go with the "plain vanilla" version of your rear lens cap, the one that does not open the aperture blades. All you want to do storing your lens is protect the rear lens glass, any electronic connections, and the mounting bracket. I don't think keeping the aperture blades in any other position other than what they are "naturally" when the lens is not mounted on the cameraoffers any advantage.
