I'm going to buy Nikon D70. And i still don't know the lens that i'm going to buy with the camera. Actually i am choosing between the nikkor AF-S 18-70 F3.5-4.5 and Sigma 18-50 F2.8. As the Sigma is new i don't know really much about it. Could you please give me an advice which to choose? And if you know something about Sigma could you tell me something?

What I know is that Sigma are quite slow and noisy when compare with original Nikon lense. But in contrast, it is cheaper

I honestly have not had any experience with either lense. But if I had only those two to choose from I would not hesitate to go for the Sigma with the 2.8 aperture over the other much slower lense. The 2.8 is much better in terms of being able to provide a faster shutter speed in low light situations.
