telephoto lens for canon a610

hi there, i am interested in getting a telephoto lens for my a610, but i am a little confused. I assumed it would get the canon lens, but i went to lensmateonline and looked at pics taken with the canon and others. It almost sounds like the tiffen lens is recommended, but i am wondering what others have and what is the better lens....any info anyone could give me would be so appreciated,thx so much
