hi,
i m useing tiffen megaplus adapter on sony dsc-s75, quality of pictures is ok, but im loosing a lot of light when i use it. My theory is , becouse even it is 49mm tube , the end lens free opening is only about 1" dia. or less. do all tele konverters have same construction ? i mean is the back lens always covered the same way , like in tiffen model ? |

Losing a lot of light? On my Olympus C4040, the exposure is the same, with or without the Tiffen 2x.

I am having difficulty understanding what you have concluded. The Tiffen 2X telephoto lens that is compatible with a Sony DSC S75 camera is larger than 1 inch in diameter. For that matter, the thread size for the Sony is already 43mm which is larger than 1 inch. The lens end of the 2X is larger still, that is why I'm puzzled by your comment. I have the same camera that you do and am in the process of getting into Telephoto lenses. Tiffen 2X and Raynox 1540Pro are hard to come by these days, they are both very popular. Are you using any kind of filter? Like a polarizer? |
