20 bucks for a tiffian polerizer at Circuit City. Is it good to use on my Dimage 5 or is it a poor quality filter. The Pro camera store sells other brands for 40 bucks. Is there a difference worth $20, or should I just get the Tiffian?

its not poor quality.
but go there and try it on the camera and make sure it does not vignette. this is an issue with the D7 series. being that yours is a 35mm equivelent it should not be an issue. but, try it anyway. it is a circular pol right? if your going to upgrade to a D7 or other with a wider angle the thickness of the filter should be 4mm or less. |

I have the Tiffen circular polarized filter and have no problems when using it. I also have the Tiffen UV filter and have enjoyed it with no problems.
