I have a Fuji S9000 and want to get some high quality addon lenses

- linear polarizing filter
- 2X TeleConverter
- macro

What brands will do the job best?

Of the three, I've only used the polarizer.

B+W, Heliopan, Nikon, Singh-Ray and the Hoya HMC line are all good bets for high quality filters. The prices are pretty high quality, too! I've gotten most of my filters off of Ebay for waaay less than new.

A lot of the above manufacturers also make close-up add-ons.

I have a Raynox DCR-250 macro lens which does a good job, is small/lightweight, easy to use (snap-on), and cheap (US$50). But I have not been able to compare this lens to other ones...

I would be very interested in comparison between this lens and lenses of other brands (e.g. Canon), and also in a comparison with the new Raynox macro lens stack DCR-5320.

As for teleconverters you won't find good 2x converters...
Raynox has one 2.2x model but when there's heavy chromatic aberrations in this considerably downsized image that should tell all what's necessary.
