Can anyone tell me anything about this lens? It is a wide angle and doesn't seem very strong. the front filter threads are 58mm and the mount threads are 49mm. It came in a black vinyl or leather draw string pouch with a red felt lining and has a corresponding telephoto lens. It seems to be pretty good quality optically.

G'day Richard
This seems to be a pair of "accessory lenses" for a video camera It is quite probable that the Tele has a 1,5x and the Wide is a 0,75x rating I have such a pair of lenses for mucking around purposes - and while mine have an optical quality of 4/10 compared with today's optics, they occasionally get a play Here is a sample of 'my' tele unit vs the FZ35 zoomed to about 200mm ![]() Hope this helps a bit ... show us some results from your lenses !! Regards, Phil

I know what king of lenses they are (I have a cabinet full of tele and a few wide from my prosumer days) but thanks anyway. I was hoping for model number or specs (seems to be .7x), age, value or anything. I know getting any of that kind of information is an extreme long shot but I guess it doesn't hurt to ask. Maybe you could give an opinion on the pics?
The first 2 are a pentax ist-ds with ricoh 50mm 2.0 set at 2.0. The other 2 are the same with the wide converter, one with the camera at the same distance, and 1 with the camera moved closer to try and mach framing. http://www.pbase.com/richardh/50mm_plus_pan |

I presume there are no model or part numbers on the barrels or pouches anywhere.
