Bought this wide angle lens with macro 0.38xxx called a Video Digital Professional lens . Needed to get a Bower 55-52 step down ring and a olympus lens adapter tube with a Hoya UV High quality lens Filter 55mm. for my olympus camedia C-750 UZ digital camera. I have a feeling I got ripped off as I cannot find the Cystal Optic series wide angle with macro lens anywhere on the net. Does anyone know of this brand and how much they are worth. They may just get them back and I'll get something from Olympus for my camera. I bought this from a supposedly knowledgeable sales person. Hmmm. Would appreciate a reply. Thanks

This lens is the same as MerKury Optics. (Make in Japan) There is no specification for these lenses from the seller or manufacturer. God know what you are getting. Toy lens.....
They are junks for sure.

Good luck!

Yes a lot of the cheaper lenses are for video cams and they have very ordinary optics. Video is usually less than 1 Mp resolution so no point in buying expensive add on lens. For digital cameras the reverse is true - expect to pay $100 to $150 for an add on lens.
