I would like advice on the best wide angle lens to buy for the Olympus C2000/C3000. The Standard Olympus one is the WCON-08. However is it better to get the WCON-08B, which while designed for the E10/E20, would fit with the appropriate step-up ring. A similar rule seems to apply for the TCON-14 and TCON-14B (designed for E10/E20), the telephoto equivalent, in that the 'B' version is better, is this the same with the WCON-08 ?
Any advice would be appreciated. I have been offered a WCON-08B for 95 UK pounds (about $146) - second hand but excellent condition, or the WCON-08 new for 117 UK pounds (about $162). Thanks, Kevin UK |

I have one and highly recommend it. It is just as sharp and clear as the original Olympus lens on my camera. The "B" is specifically made for the E series Olympus cameras, so you'll want to get the "E" version. I suspect that the WCON-08 is the one you should get. You'll need a CLA-1 or CLA-4 adapter with your camera. Check the Olympus Compatibility Chart on Olympus' web site.
