Default conkin filter system

anyone used the square filter system with their digi/film camera?

what do you think off it?

I still use my +3 cokin close-up , the other cokin filters more rarely because of the digital ease of photo editing.

Are you asking about Cokin filters generally, as in carrying forward what you originally bought for film, or, are you asking about the Cokin holder (and filters) designed for compact digicams? I would be tempted to get that new holder for my C4040 if I didn't already have such a large outfit from my 35mm gear. The "P" size holder is a little awkward to use on a compact, but it works fine. I use a tripod to free my hands, and always use the LCD to compose. I have always been totally pleased with the quality of Cokin products.

There are three Colkin systems: A, P and XP. Due to the size of consumer digital cameras, the A (i.e., smallest) series is perhaps what you need. You will need a filter holder one or two rings to mount the holder to the camera lens. Colkin offers a large selection of square filters with a very reasonable price. You can also other better brands' square filters with Colkin's holder. If your camera does not have a filter thread, you may consider the new holder as shown below (with a Nikon Coolpix 2500):
