Default Telephoto lenses for 7i in UK

Hi guys

I'm looking for add on lenses (telephoto, wide angle, macro) for my Minolta Dimage 7i in the UK. Can anyone recommend any suppliers. Also, can you recommend any particular products. Cost is an issue, so nothing too expensive ...

Thanks,

Jed.

Check with Eagle Eye and see if Carlo is still carrying the B-300 1.7x or the replacement the Olympus TCON-17 - excellent telephoto. Can't help too much with the WA, but I think he's got some macro stacks which will work for you. Great company, great people to deal with.

Forget Eagleeye.

If you want that lens try

www.digitalfirst.co.uk/

They do the TCON-17 for 89.99 and apparently it is the same lens as the B-300.

Why "forget Eagle Eye"? Excellent company with excellent products - no question about it!

Didn't mean to imply they are bad. Not at all.

Just saying, why pay extra for a B-300 when you can get virtually the same for a lot less.

I have used Digitalfirst and they are also excellent.

Sorry for the confusion.

Default One more thing ...

Oh, one more thing: I read that the TCON 17 is a 55mm connection, so I'd need a step down adapter to the 49mm thread on the Dimage 7i. Am I right in thinking that this would be better than a lense requiring a step up adapter? Something about stepping down causing vignetting?
