Wonder if anyone used Marumi Waterproof Coat WPC UV filter?
Does it really helpful in photographing water or during light rain and water doesn't stick to filter or not?

PS I've already asked similar question about Sigma and Marumi but doesn't get response, any help would be much appreciated  here is other thread: http://forums.steves-digicams.com/fo...amp;forum_id=2

Can't tell you about that one as I have not used it but I have used a tiffen UV 58mm filter and it works well when I am inside buildings after fires and water is leacking from cieling..... the water tends to bead of if the lense but does not get caught at the bottom of the ring. Very easy to wipe off when I need to take a picture.

BIG thank you, Dave! I'm glad to hear that you confirmed that such filter exists and it's not just marketing trick. As I've searched through the web and didn't find any confirmation that filter is really working this way.

BTW what about filter you're using is it multicoated and you're using it on film or digital camera?
The reason I'm asking is that I had some single coated UV filter which come to me as bonus which have problems with reflections in backlight situations, I see ghosting image of my CCD sensor on the photos. Wonder if all multicoated filters have less problems with it or it's worth to invest into filter series specially made for digital cameras(Hoya and Marumi seems to offer them).

Do you experience haze and other artifacts in your photos?
