Do a Google search on the following: UAC3500 Universal Adapter and you will find several vendors sell it for between US$6-12. Even Amazon lists it for $6.

It fits cameras and lens adapter tubes with a front filter mount from 52mm to 67mm, ismade of ABS and uses a spring loaded attachment method, and has a front Thread Diameter of 37mm.

If you want to verify it is the correct part, go to the Raynox web site.

Thanks a lot. Do you think http://www.digitaletc.com/go/item/1958 would work? I emailed digitaletc support guy but he gave me the UAC2000 instead of UAC3500 hmm

Sorry to be so long, but been somewhat busy.

The UAC 2000 is probably the correct one.

The one I mentioned is for 37mm screw threads (fits the DCR 200), the other for 43mm. Check to see what the threads are on your 250 ... if they are 43, then the one you located would be the correct one. I checked my DCR 250 and it is 43mm; it should be the same as yours.

Hope this helps!
