Larry, i will try posting a couple on this forum tonight. the lense isn't the sharpest but, it isn't supposed to be a canon L series lense and doesn't cost any where near one. my hands are not as steady as they used to be a hundred or so years ago so that is factored in. there is fringing and just a tad of vignetting at full zoom on the fuji s602z.

Here's a couple of pix showing the difference in picture size using the raynox 2020 on a fuji s602z. the chimney pics were taken at approx. 10 meters with no editing and only resized to 760x571 through fotopic.net. the dove was about 8 metrs away and edited. all pics handheld.

full 6x zoom without the addon.

full zoom with the adddon.

dove & sparrow.

Dennis - Thanks for posting the photos. The chimney pic tells me most of whatI wanted to know. The lens will suit my needs just fine and I'll be ordering one for my Nikon 5700.

i've noticed that focussing seems to search more for focus than when not using the lense. if i can remember it seems that way on subjects without a sharp line. maybe just my imagination. i still like it and it doesn't cost an arm or a leg.

I finally found time to post a pic with my Raynox 2020 2.2x converter. Shot with coolpix 5700 at highest jpeg on a tripod at full extension. (You almost have to extend it all the way to avoid vignetting, so this is equal to 616mm on a 35mm, 280x2.2=616mm) Then I had to reduce the size to 72dpi and 25 % to email it. I hope to use it again soon and post some more, but what with LIFE and all...... Overall, I'd say it's pretty sharp, especially for the $. Jock

Dennis...I have a coolpix 5700, and try to look for a telephoto lens and Im considering the DCR-2020Pro...But I am a little bit concern about the sharpening of the image and that concept of vignating.

You have try it on your 5700, do you think is a good optionfor sport and concerts??

Im considering one for my Coolpix 5700 just for sports and concerts...

Do you have additional sample images of the coolpix 5700 and the DCR-2020Pro...Maybe we can share some examples by email.

Thanks for your help..
