Hi, I would like to purchase a wide angle lens for my Nikon 4300 at present I only have the lens that came with the camera. I would be very grateful for any help in pointing me in the right direction regarding best place to buy etc. That's UK wise, jorg

If you can find an adapter for the 4300 (I am sure you can), you might consider Nikon's WC-E24. This lens is small and of light weight. Very sharp with noticeable barrel distortion. It brings you a 24mm focal length. In fact, there are only two such wonderful lenses: the discontinued WC-E24 and the newer, larger and heavier WC-E68. So, try eBay to find one which usually has a price tag around $80USD. See my Coolpix 4500 user guide for more details about this lens.

Jorg,

Depending on your use, that's what I'd recommend a Nikon lens too. I had a previous post with my 4300 and a Digital Optics wide-angle lens. Cheap, but poor quality on anything over 4 x 6.
